Subaru unveils Crosstrek Wilderness Edition for Japan
Subaru has announced the launch of a special edition of its crossover, the Crosstrek, specifically designed for the Japanese market, called the Wilderness Edition. This variant features several cosmetic upgrades compared to the standard model, such as a grille with two horizontal lines, stylish 17-inch alloy wheels in black with gold accents, and protective trims on the doors, hood, and tailgate. Additionally, the model is equipped with long mud flaps, polymer coating on the mirrors, tinted light diffusers, and Toyo Tires Open Country A/T III tires, enhancing its off-road capabilities. An emblem bearing the Wilderness Edition name appears on the tailgate.
The interior of the Crosstrek Wilderness Edition remains unchanged. Under the hood, it houses a 2.0-liter flat engine producing 145 horsepower, coupled with a 48-volt starter-generator. The crossover features a continuously variable transmission and symmetrical all-wheel drive.
The production of this special edition is limited to just 500 units, which will be exclusively available on the domestic Japanese market. Local dealerships have already commenced accepting orders for this exciting new model.
